Community Impact Staged Activity Badge

The Air Activities Staged Activity Badge can be achieved from Stage One through to Stage Four.

To earn the badge, you must complete all the tasks and requirements within a stage and the previous stages. For example, to earn Stage Two, you must complete all elements of both Stage One and Stage Two.

Community Impact Stage One

  1. Identify the need and investigate what issues and challenges exist in your community
  2. Plan action deciding what issue your section should take on and what you should change
  3. Take action over a period of three months
  4. Learn and make additional change and discuss what you have learnt with your section
  5. Help other people to understand why the issue you took on is important, what you did and how it helped

When taking action over the three month period, you should do the following:

  • Spend at least four hours personally taking action towards your chosen issue
  • Involve others in the actions by working in a team with your section and people in the community

Community Impact Stage Two

  1. Identify the need and investigate what issues and challenges exist in your community
  2. Plan action deciding what issue your section should take on and what you should change
  3. Take action over a period of six months
  4. Learn and make additional change and discuss what you have learnt with your section
  5. Help other people to understand why the issue you took on is important, what you did and how it helped

When taking action over the six month period, you should do the following:

  • Spend at least twelve hours personally taking action towards your chosen issue
  • Involve others in the actions by working in a team with your section and people in the community

Community Impact Stage Three

  1. Identify the need and investigate what issues and challenges exist in your community
  2. Plan action deciding what issue your section should take on and what you should change
  3. Take action over a period of nine months
  4. Learn and make additional change and discuss what you have learnt with your section
  5. Help other people to understand why the issue you took on is important, what you did and how it helped

When taking action over the nine month period, you should do the following:

  • Spend at least 24 hours personally taking action towards your chosen issue
  • Involve others in the actions by working in a team with your section and people in the community

Community Impact Stage Four

  1. Identify the need and investigate what issues and challenges exist in your community
  2. Plan action deciding what issue your section should take on and what you should change
  3. Take action over a period of 12 months
  4. Learn and make additional change and discuss what you have learnt with your section
  5. Help other people to understand why the issue you took on is important, what you did and how it helped

When taking action over the 12 month period, you should do the following:

  • Spend at least 48 hours personally taking action towards your chosen issue
  • Involve others in the actions by working in a team with your section and people in the community
